Shebat Wedding Highlights - Contigo Ranch - Fredericksburg, TX
In the last couple of years I feel like I’ve had more and more “pinch me” moments in my job. I get to work weddings that I could’ve only dreamed about with couples who are amazing beyond belief. Enter John and Hannah, two sweet souls who love Jesus, their family, and their friends like nothing else. Their day at Contigo Ranch went above and beyond anything I could’ve dreamed up on my “perfect wedding” Pinterest board (which doesn’t actually exist, but let me tell you if it did, this wedding would be the entire vibe).
Hannah and John were amazingly kind, fun, and had a sweet sentimental side to them that we got lucky enough to capture during their AMAZING portrait session. That light on the hills looking over the hill country?? Pretty sure I’ll never get over that. And GOSH. That dance floor!! I think I caught some of the most epic dance footage I’ve ever filmed. Everything about their day was so inspiring when it came time to edit, and I was so excited to finally get to use a song that I’ve loved and sat on for a couple of years (“Last Chance (Alt. Version) by CHPTRS). I had never found the right footage, couple, and tone to pull it off, but John and Hannah’s day fit so perfectly. And then as an added bonus, I got to use this other fun song (“Come Together” by Spirit City) for the reception footage, and it might be my most favorite wedding reception half of a video ever. I seriously want to dance and sing every time I watch it back. I’m so thrilled with how this final video came out, and I hope John and Hannah get to enjoy it for years to come. Cheers to the Shebats!

Wells Wedding Preview - Mattie’s at Green Pastures - Austin, TX
Gahhh this is tripping me up as I write this! When Alena and Sam booked me she had mentioned that she liked the sort of dark and moody color look. I said I could try to edit in that style and wow, I feel like this looks like another filmmaker’s work! I tried using LUT’s for the first time (I went with Henry Martens Moab collection), and it was waaaay more difficult than I imagined! Editing in a different color profile than what you’re used to is definitely an art form. It’s fun to try but admittedly not my forte.
But back to Alena and Sam… These two booked me over a year ago and ended up postponing their wedding twice during the pandemic. During this time they also decided to go ahead and get married because they just couldn’t wait! Their long awaited wedding day finally came and it was literally a dream come true. Everything about the day was absolutely stunning, and if I could get married again I think Alena’s dream wedding would be my dream wedding. Her style is impeccable (I mean have you seen her dress?!), and I honestly felt like the luckiest videographer to be able to capture their day. Congrats to the Wells!
Kerstetter Wedding Preview - Laguna Gloria - Austin, TX
When Christina booked me she said they wanted a fun wedding teaser. And something about me is that I will never NOT want to deliver you an epically fun wedding teaser when asked upon. Christina and Drew’s day was epically fun and so genuine. These two were magic on camera and made the day so easy and wonderful (not to mention the amazing vendor team we were able to work with throughout the day!). I seriously cannot wait to edit this video soon. Congrats to the Kerstetters!
Caswell Wedding Highlights - Old Bethany - Waco, TX
Where do I even begin with Emily and Trevor? They are some of the most laid back, genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of filming. There was so much peace throughout their wedding day, and I know it stems from these two and who they are as people, plus the people they surround themselves with. I absolutely loved their vows (as well as their private letters which they read out loud to each other during their first look!), and I knew I wanted to incorporate those personalized moments into their video. This is actually the longest video I’ve ever edited, and the first time I’ve ever used three songs before! I think the pacing of the video and the way it’s a little bit slower and calmer really fits these two and their personalities. There is a calmness that they both exude (except for maybe on the dance floor ;)) and their day was a beautiful reflection of that, plus their love of Jesus. Congrats to the Caswells!
