Altuna Wedding Preview - Mercury Hall - Austin, TX
Where do I start with Carolyn and Neil? Carolyn and I first connected when she slid into my DM’s. (No really, she did.) You see, my husband and I got married at Mercury Hall eight years ago, and they are sadly shutting down at the end of the year. I still hadn’t ever filmed a wedding there, and I was really desperate to shoot there at least once before they close, so I put it out there on instagram asking any photographers or coordinators if they had any Mercury Hall weddings they could refer me for. Carolyn had somehow found me (apparently hashtags work!) and responded to my story saying that she was getting married there soon. We met, clicked right away, and the rest is history!
She and Neil are one of the most fun and laid back couples I think I’ve ever filmed (Neil was keeping us on our toes with the jokes all day), and Neil’s teenage daughters were honestly cooler than I’ll ever be. The entire day was colorful, joyful, and full of laughter from start to finish. Also Neil and Carolyn went on the coolest honeymoon ever to a bunch of national parks! Like I said, cooler than I’ll ever be. Congrats to the Altunas!
Heck Wedding Preview - Kendall Point - Boerne, TX
It’s always so fun to get to capture the weddings of personal friends! Caitlin and I grew up going to the same church, and when she reached out about me covering her wedding day I was so honored! This one took a while to get to (as any friends who’s weddings I shot know, it’s kind of part of the “Friendship Video Package” 😬), but I’m so in love with the footage we captured of that day. Caitlin and Oliver have such a magnetic chemistry on camera, and I can’t wait to share more from their day. Congrats to the Hecks!
Robinson Wedding Preview - Barr Mansion - Austin, TX
Maybe it’s the feeling of fall and fresh beginnings creeping in, but wedding season is here and I’m pushing forward with some renewed creative energy! That said, this teaser is way different from my usual ones, but I had so much fun with it and just wanted to do something different. I was inspired by the font on Ali and Ben’s wedding invites, and it led me down a whole entire path (also somewhat inspired by Wes Anderson), and this is what I came up with. A mini love story for instagram. And honestly if any couple was on board with it, I feel like it’d be Ali and Ben. They are quirky and fun and have amazing taste in music, fashion, and everything in between. They felt like the type of people who would enjoy something different, so I ran with it. Cheers to their (much longer) love story and all that’s to come!
Fox Wedding Highlights - D’Vine Grace Vineyards - McKinney, TX
We’re finally here! Getting into the 2021 weddings and I’m soooo excited! First is Megan and Harrison’s wedding, which was a postponement from 2020. I’m so glad that they waited and were able to celebrate their day exactly as they had dreamed. Their wedding was full of friends and family who had traveled from across the country to celebrate, and the dance floor proved to be an epic party. Megan and Harrison were so fun (and funny!) to work with, and they made our job so easy. Congrats to the Foxes!
