Fleming Wedding Highlights - Houston, TX
Emily and Tyler’s wedding day has turned out to be one of the wildest rides I’ve ever experienced as a videographer. Their original wedding date was set for the end of March, which we had no idea would be the week that most of the state went into a shelter in place order. Only one week before the wedding Emily and I were on the phone discussing the wedding plans as normal, and within just a few days everything changed.
Tyler and Emily decided to go forward with their original wedding date in a private ceremony attended by less than 10 guests in the middle of a completely quiet, downtown Houston. Their day was relaxed, intimate, and romantic. They were then surprised by friends and family who waited outside the chapel to cheer them on with love and support (from 6 feet away). We spent the next hour after the ceremony capturing portraits and being able to have a ton of fun with the creative freedom that comes with not having a wedding schedule to follow.
The original plan was to still have a postponed reception later in August, so everything we had filmed was going to be used in the future highlights video. Unfortunately plans changed yet again, as Tyler and Emily (who is a nurse) recently had to make the tough decision to cancel their August reception. With what only amounted to a couple of hours of filming, I wanted to try my best to still create as full of a highlights video as possible. This video pushed me creatively and forced me to work with what little footage I had (basically almost no b-roll). It was a good reminder that my standards and what I want to create isn’t always going to be in my control, and that what ultimately matters is the bride and the groom getting to relive their day. It’s real, it’s what was experienced and not staged, and I think there is so much beauty in that. Congrats to the Flemings!

Every wedding I get to film these days feels immensely special. Grant and Abigail’s wedding day almost didn’t get to happen, but they chose to move forward and make June 27th their wedding day, come rain or shine. Their wedding was full of so much joy from start to finish, as these two didn’t let their circumstances define their day. I wanted their teaser to show just a glimpse of that joy and ended up choosing a bit of a different song for this one. Can’t wait for you to see it! Congrats to the Hesters!

I’m so excited to finally share Emily and Marty’s wedding highlights! Their wedding day was an absolute dream, from the gorgeous florals, to Emily’s Wonder Woman-esque cuffs. Every detail was perfection! (Also shout out to Blue Sparrow Events, who I expect nothing less from!) This video challenged me creatively and brought a new level of fun and beauty to the editing process. Their video is two parts. One part romantic, the second part a straight up party. I can’t think of a couple who embodies those two things more. Congrats to Emily & Marty!

Toppenberg Wedding Preview - Vista West Ranch - Austin, TX
If I could give an award to most last minute wedding videography booking, Brianna and Tyler would definitely get first place! Brianna’s mom reached out to me just eight days before the wedding, and I was so grateful to be available! I’ve never gone into a wedding before without having spoken to the bride first to make sure we’re on the same page and that we’re a good fit. However with Brianna being a nurse and working the week of the wedding, we skipped the phone call and I showed up to meet her on her wedding day. Despite not meeting her beforehand, Bri was so fun and easy to click with. She and Tyler were endlessly adorable and hilarious throughout the day, and their love for each other and Jesus was on full display. I’m convinced these two could become BFF’s with just about anybody, and by the end of their day it felt like we were just a bunch of old friends hanging out (with four cameras filming and taking pictures, which is totally normal for friends hanging out right?). Congrats to the Toppenbergs!
